Ghana becomes the second after South Africa to launch a Men’s fashion week in Africa aimed at supporting the developments in the menswear and accessories segment.
The Accra Mens Fashion and Accessories Week will be an exclusive event featuring fashion trends and products for men dubbed ‘fashion forward Man’. It is an event for designers, brands, men’s products and service providers to showcase upcoming collections to press, media, stylists, buyers, fashion trailblazers and the general public and will also showcase a selection of talented Ghanaian and international designers and models to present the trends in fashion and accessories for men.
There will also be the “Men’s Gallery”; a space designed for the exhibition and display of products and services for men during the day time as well as a daily two (2) hour runway shows for selected designers per night during the two day event.
According to Nana Mensah, C.E.O of Fame Model Management, organizers of the event, the World Trade centre in Accra will host the event slatted for February 13 and 14, 2016 to coincide with the valentine day weekend.
The Business of Fashion and Modeling seminar on Friday February 12 will also be organized for fashion models, photographers, make-up artist and accessories providers to discuss issues affecting operators of the fashion industry.
