Beau mond fashion luminaries Domenicio Dolce  and Stefano Gabbana were sentenced to prison in Italy on Wednesday for failing to pay 40.4million euros in taxis to the Italian government. Prosecutor Laura Pediosaid this time is a serious and complicated,sophisticated tax fraud crime”. According to Pedio,investigators found that between 2004 and 2007 Dolce and Gabbana failed to tell italian authorities about an offshoot company they’d setup in Luxembourg,costing Italy millions of euros in taxes.

      Dolce and Gabbana were both sentenced to one year eight months in prison and in addition,to what they owe, they have been told to pay a fine of 500,000 euros. Their lawyer Massimo Dinnois,plans to appeal all convictions and related fines and sentences.The two stylists debuted their brand in an October 1985 show in Milan,they have grown to become the worlds  number1 fashion brand.
